While decluttering this week I came across a mirror that I bought at a yard sale last spring and had placed in the guest bedroom closet. Knowing that I did not intend for it to stay there I had to decide if I wanted to keep it or put it with my yard sale items. Not wanting to get rid of it, I had to find a place for it so I decided to paint the back side of the mirror with chalk board paint and hang it in the kitchen for my husband and I to leave notes on. I used 3 coats of paint on it and since I painted the back side of the mirror, I still have it if I ever change my mind, which I do quite often... After painting the mirror, I was curious about other ways to use the chalkboard paint so I googled it and found several. I thought I would share some of them with you.
All the following photos were found on google images.
Very interesting ideas, especially the refrigerator. Thanks for stopping by.

The fridge freaked me out! In my opinion a little chalkboard paint goes a long way...I like the small items better...but that's just my opinion! I love your mirror...it's a very elegant chalkboard!
I don't know why I NEVER think about chalkboard paint! Those are some great ideas.
Good Day to you Elizabeth!
I always enjoy dropping by and visiting your blog.
so you have daffodils woo woo
It will be a long time yet before we have daffodils usually later in May or early June. We do have some puddles forming on top of the frozen snow and the river ice is getting a wet look to it too That means spring is on its way.
One of our sons had a dog named Rosco Just loved that dog. He was a big dog but such a love. Unfortunately a bull charged him and well it was a sad time for all of us! I have been looking and looking at your photos of "Rosco" and yeah what kind of doggie is he. How old do you think he is?
Love the chalkboard paint ideas.
I am hoping to start on spring cleaning here today too. One room at a time. It will be awhile yet before we see the ground but that is okay~~I am hoping to start some seeds inside soon too.
Happy spring cleaning God Bless Roxanne
Elizabeth I love the mirror. Thanks for sharing the other pictures too. I will have to remember this idea.
I've been thinking of using some chalkboard paint to make a message center but I sure wouldn't have thought of using it all over the kitchen!! Interesting. Hope you enjoy your new message board.

I used chalkboard paint on a large wall and used it while I did lessons.
It was very good but hard to cover when I sold the house :)
But the idea is very good!

Great idea with the mirror. I didn't know there was chalkboard paint. I loved all the different ideas on how you could use it. Thanks for sharing!
Oh my gosh...just love love love that! Never would have put 2 n 2 together and came up with that idea to create. I have many mirrors put back in closets thinking one day...one day I'll get you out. Now have reason to. Thanks so much for sharing...

What a neat idea. I would imagine painting the cabinets would come in handy if you have little ones. It would certainly keep them occupied while you try to cook.
I absolutely LOVE these ideas! Thanks fro sharing!
