The Home Keeper's Journal

In my kitchen ……are dinner dishes that need washing and a dirty floor that needs mopping. I spent part of the day over at Skylar's and the remainder defrosting and cleaning our freezer in the garage. I also worked in the garden cleaning up the rows of beans by getting rid of the ones planted too close and getting rid of weeds. Afterwards, I came in and made homemade pizza for our dinner and watched Little People Big World with my husband. Now I need to hurry and finish with this post so that I can clean my kitchen and put away the laundry that I did before going to Skylar's this morning. After I am finished, I plan on taking a long hot bubble bath and then going to bed. I am TIRED!!!!

On my mind today . . . . is getting to the cemetery and putting the flowers that I bought weeks ago on my dad's grave.

One goal for this week . . . . is to finish putting out mulch and finish weeding along our fence in the backyard.

Something I Would Like To Do . . . . is not to be judgemental of others. Too often I catch myself judging others in a hypocritical manner, especially family members. I am trying hard to overcome this. Mat 7:1 Judge not, that ye be not judged. Mat 7:2 For with what judgment ye judge, ye shall be judged: and with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you again.

It Means A Lot To Me . . . . to spend time with my kids. It is sad that we only seem to get together on holidays. We usually see our daughter once a week when we have dinner with her on Fridays and most of the time we see our son once or twice a week (he lives next door) but I love it when we are all together.

What I’m reading . . . . is a few of my favorite blogs. Lately, I have not had much time for blogging and I have missed it. I enjoy reading about the "going ons" of other bloggers.

One individual I am praying for . . . . is my nephew, Skylar. I am always praying for him to regain the ability to walk and use his hands and arms again.

I am looking forward to . . . . getting caught up on everything around here and having time to relax and read some of the books that I have bought over the past year.

On the back burner of my mind . . . . I am trying to decide when will be a good time to have a yard sale.

I see God moving in . . . . wonderful ways. Especially in this messed up world, where he cannot be silenced and continues his work whether it accepts him or not.

Thanks to Sylvia from Christian Homekeeper for hosting Homekeeper's Journal and  thank you for stopping by !!!!

Hello! I just started doing the Homekeeper's Journal and wanted to stop by everyone else's blogs.

I'm also trying to overcome being critical of others and to look for the good instead of the bad.

I really like your blog!

Hi Elizabeth,
I haven't taken alot of time to blog lately either but will try in the coming week to get my act together. It is always fun to read your blog. Your have a lot of things on the go.
We haven't even planted our garden yet it would have froze! We rarely grow beans as the frost always kills them unless you have a cover for them which I do not right now.
Anyways just wanted to say hello love to you Roxanne
