Goldfish Pond and Surrounding Area

It was a beautiful but very hot day today. When we went to dinner  (5-5:30) I saw 98 degrees on one of the bank signs. Knowing last night that it was going to be hot today, I got up early (5:30) and went outside and started pulling weeds and working in my flowers and garden. I stayed out until about 10:30 a.m. and then came inside to do some work. I am trying to avoid working in the sun when it is the hottest because of the damage it is doing to my skin. I will be 50 in November and the wrinkles, age spots and loss of elasticity are coming fast enough without any more help. I have always loved working in the sun and getting a tan but it has damaged my skin over the years and I am trying to take better care of it. Another reason is I cannot take the hot weather like I use to. . . I am getting old. Above are some pictures of my goldfish pond and surrounding area. Have a nice day.

It's just hot! I got up early this morning (5:30) thinking it would be a little less humid, but...not! I'm going to try not to complain too much about it after all the whining I did over the winter about how cold and how much snow we had! Have a good day!

It seems like when we turn 50 we notice more of the wrinkles and skin damage...I do the same thing as you do...weed in the morning and or later in the evening..Russ leaves at 6:30 am and I go out then..I am determined to keep the weeds at bay but I think they are winning the war right now..we have had alot of rain..Your garden is beautiful...Lisa

Your flowers and pond are just beautiful! I hear you on staying out of the sun. I am in the same boat. I bought myself and wide brimmed hat and try not to do too much out in the direct sun!
