Remodeling

This weekend was beautiful, still a little too hot and dry but nice! All last week I worked at packing away most of the items in my livingroom and kitchen. We are about to do some remodeling which includes tearing out both floors. The living room floor will actually be torn out all the way to the ground. . . . thank goodness my husband does carpentry work. The plywood under our pine plank floors is going to have to be replaced which means we are also having to replace the flooring.  I will also be getting new flooring in the kitchen and diningroom. After having white tile and grout for years (in the kitchen!!!),  hubby has finally agreed to replace it. . . yippppee. We will also be updating our kitchen by making some changes to the layout of our cabinets and replacing our old appliances.  We have been talking about maybe selling our place in a few years and building a smaller house with a small yard. . . . something with less upkeep.  While I dread all the work, I am excited to get started.. I intend to make before and after pictures and will post them as we move along with the remodeling. Thanks for stopping by and I hope all of you have a wonderful week.
