My Town

Happy New Year everyone. No resolutions but I am looking forward to being a better "help mate" to my husband and taking better care of myself. It is my goal to eat healthier, exercise more and spend more time resting and reading in the upcoming year. And resting is about all I have done due to it raining all day. Hubby and I  watched "Bama" play Michigan State in the Capital One Bowl game (Roll Tide) and I ironed some of his work clothes but it has pretty much been a lazy day for both of us. I have been going through some of my "snow pics" and found a few of our town's old courthouse that I thought I would share with you. It has recently been renovated and we are proud of it.

"Somerville is a rural, close knit, family oriented community of about 500 residents."
Thanks for stopping by and may God bless you as this new year unfolds.

Love the pictures! And I love the history. Alabama really has very interesting history and wonderful old buildings. Thanks for posting these pictures. Hope you have a great 2011.
