This morning my husband and I got up early and went to Cracker Barrel to eat breakfast. Afterwards, we stopped by K-Mart to pick up some batteries for my garage remote. While in there, I browsed around and found a display of Thanksgiving items that were on sale 50% off. I bought 2 "richly scented" Pumpkin Ginger Souffle Gourmet Bakery Candles, 3 Be Thankful vinyl table clothes and 6 sets of Be Thankful napkins. I was going to make new napkins tomorrow and now I will not have to make as many. I have fall fabric that will contrast nicely wth the napkins I purchased today. We will be having our Thanksgiving dinner in my husbands shop (he keeps it very clean). We have been having all our get togethers there for the past few years. It is large and open so everyone is in one room together. In the past, everyone was spread out in different rooms of my home and we didn't get to spend as much time together. Now we are all together in one room and it is easy to see and talk to everyone. We have a stove and refrigerator there, so it is still convenient to prepare the dinner. Installing a stove in the shop motivated me to unclutter my cabinets at the house. I was able to find alot of items that I seldom used (cookware, tableware, bowls, utensils, table clothes, etc.) that we could use to prepare meals at the shop. We also have a large old comfortable sectional sofa with 2 recliners, several other chairs, plus fold outs to seat everyone. Everyone seems to prefer this set up and it is ideal for a large number of people. It works for me. Thank you for taking the time to stop by and I hope you have a wonderful day.

I am visiting your blog via "body, soul and spirit". I had to tell you how I relate to having everybody spread out over the house for dinner. I come from a large family and there just is never enough table and chairs to go around. Some of us usually end up on the floor using an end table/coffee table to set our plate. Some of us have to use our laps. But it's okay, as long as we are together and it just wouldn't be a family gathering if it didn't happen.
Enjoy your stories...will visit back.
