Hello

Hi everyone. It has been a very busy week for me. I have finished with all my spring cleaning, However, I am working this week on getting my curtains made for the den. I have one pair finished and two more pair to do. I have also been working on getting my garden planted and adding some annual flowers to my flower beds. I still have a lot to do outside in the next few days. Next week (May 6th) I will be having bladder surgery and will have to take it easy for a few weeks. I am worried about not being there for Skylar but I have been training a woman to take over some of his care while I am recuperating. I pray everything goes well for both of them. I only live a few miles from him if anything should happen and she needs my help. Trying to get everything done has left me exhausted and I am looking forward to some free time to relax and take it easy. It appears that we have some probable cases of Swine Flu in our area. The following are from our local news:

MADISON, ALABAMA - Probable cases of Swine Flu have been reported in Madison. As a precaution, they are closing all city parks including Dublin Park and Palmer Park until Monday. All Madison City Schools are closed on Thursday, April 30th, and Friday May 1st. But, Heritage Elementary School will be closed through Wednesday, May 6th.All after school activities are cancelled through Sunday, May 3rd.The city is also saying that all city employees should report to work unless they are sick, or they must supervise a child home from school.

HUNTSVILLE - The mayors of Huntsville and Madison held a news conference late Wednesday night to address the action they're taking to address swine flu concerns. As a precaution, they've decided to close all Huntsville City, Madison City and Madison County schools on Thursday and Friday. All the schools are expected to re-open on Monday, except for Heritage Elementary which will remain closed for 7 days.Keith Ward, of Huntsville City Schools, said that a decision will be made on Friday whether or not to give the SATs at Huntsville High School on Saturday. He also went on to say that all central office, school administration, custodial, maintenance workers are to report to work as scheduled. All other employees are to stay at home. The precautions are being taken after State Health Officer Don Williamson reported two probable cases of swine flu at Heritage Elementary school in Madison. At a joint news conference late Wednesday, Huntsville and Madison city leaders said the students are in kindergarten at Heritage Elementary. Dr. Williamson said that the students have been treated as outpatients and are recovering.

I'll be offering up prayers for you in May. Thank God for modern surgery techniques. I hope you are able to have laproscopic surgery. I had that and was out in one day, although I would have liked to stay overnight.

I pray all goes well with your surgery. Your curtain making sounds like fun. I love to sew but don't have much time right now. Fortunately there have been no Swine Flu cases in our area and I hope it stays that way. Take care and the Lord bless you! Elena
