It is Bloomin Tuesday again at MsGreen"thumb"Jean's blogspot. I have between 70 and 80 different daylilies and most of them are blooming. In fact, I have so much bloomin going on that that I will have to do several post to show them all. I have been making lots of pictures and I would like to mention something that happened last week while I was outside doing so. I was making pictures of my daylilies and most of the time I get inside the flower bed and hold the flower so I can get a good shot of it. That day was no exception, I had made my way around the large flower bed and before I could finish my battery died on my camera so I came inside and put the battery on the charger. My husband was mowing during this time and said after I went inside he decided to mow next to the flower bed I had been in. Just as he approached the bed he said a large snake came out of the flowers next to where I had been. He was able to run over it and kill it with the mower. He said he thought it was probably a chicken snake but after running over it he looked and it was a Copperhead. I AM VERY HAPPY MY BATTERY DIED. I have had so many close calls with snakes that some of my family members think I actually attract them. However, if you work outside very often, you are going to come in contact with snakes occasionally. It is a good idea to look around where you are working and be careful where you step. I must admit I fail to do this very often and you would think I would be VERY careful. Thank you for stopping by and please go by and visit Ms. Jean and see what she and other participants have bloomin in their gardens.

OMG! I'm glad your battery died too! I love your daylilies and look forward to seeing more. Just watch your step please! Jean
OH MY STARS! Everything happens for a reason!!! You are supposed to shake the plants or use a rake to move them around before you step in there, Good Grief...I'm guilty too!
Oh, Your flowers are beautiful....got caught up in the snake thing..
You have some gorgeous Daylillies blooming in your garden today. :)
Your day lilies are beautiful. That is something I would like to plant in my garden. Thank goodness your hubby got that snake! Fortunately there are only gardener snakes in the area where we live.
That truly was blessing! Those snakes are scary! I am loving those daylilies. I'm beginning to get more of a variety as well. I'm slowly adding different colors to my traditional orange ones. I've got only part sun, so I have to experiment.
Your daylilies are just gorgeous! To be that close to a copperhead ... God was watching out for you, girl! Hugs!!
Thank God for His watchful care. So glad you didn't have a snake encounter!
I am having serious daylily envy. Ours are just beginning to bloom. I enjoyed perusing your lovely blossoms! ~~Rhonda
