Monday Ramble

I hope everyone had a great Mother's Day yesterday. Both kids came by visited with me a while. Jacqueline brought Maya (yorkie pup), who was very excited to see us. I always enjoy any time that I get to spend with them . Because I have been so sore it has been hard for me to sit very long and post. It took me 3 days to do my Mother's Day post. Last night I played around with some new backgrounds and there are so many to choose from that it is hard to pick one. Today I am feeling better and even managed to go out in the yard to look at my flowers. We have had so much rain lately that the weeds and bugs are taking over. My tomato plants are dying from all the rain and I planted some yellow marigolds before my surgery and something has eaten them up (slugs???); I will have to replant. I also noticed several other plants that are being eaten, especially my angel trumpets. It is so hard to see all the weeds and not pull them. My doctor said no lifting, pulling, or pushing for 6 weeks. That is going to be really hard to do. My husband pulled some weeds for me on Saturday but he does not like yard work and is very honest about it and I respect that and appreciate what he did, maybe he got it to where it will not be too bad in 5 more weeks when I can take over. We have a large yard; 4 acres including a pond , 2 houses and a shop to care for. In the past I have taken care of almost all the yard work. However, since my nephew, Skylar, has been paralyzed and I help with his care, I do not have the time to devote to all of it like I use to. Over the past two years things around here have been neglected but I hope to change that once I am able to start doing my work again. Plus, we are having a wedding here this fall. My son and his fiancee, Morgan are getting married September 12th. I have a lot to do but I am excited about it and can't wait to get started. Thank you for stopping by and I hope you are having a wonderful day.

Hi Elizabeth~~Thanks so much for stopping by!
Hope you are feeling better today, sounds like you had a fun visit yesterday.
Your yard is beautiful...and yes that is a lot of work. Try NOT to think about it until you are physically able to do anything. It seems less frustrating, that way~lol!

A wedding this fall, how Exciting!

Take care,
Lynn♥

I hope your soreness is decreasing from your surgery.

Your home is already so beautiful, you won't need to do much to get ready for the wedding!

I am sorry to hear about your plants that are struggling. Plants really do require a great deal of time. My poor plants are always struggling because I forget to water them.

How nice to have a couple of visitors. I am glad to hear that you are able to get around some. I will be praying that you continue to recover well.

Have fun planning for the wedding. Your yard is so pretty, it will be the perfect setting I am sure.

Have a blessed day!
