Fall Cleaning Update

New fall flower arrangement I made for the coffee table in the den.

Last week I spent Thursday and Friday doing some fall cleaning after I finished at Skylar's each day. I had planned to finish up on Saturday but instead I spent the morning with my niece who turned 11 on Friday. At 11:30 my husband and I started watching college football games, of course Alabama was one of them who played. We watched games (Auburn, Alabama, & Florida) until after 10:00 p.m. that night. I thought I would finish cleaning today but I had one of my migraine headaches and as soon as I could leave Skylar I came home and went to bed. I stayed there until my husband came home from work at 4:00 and then I got up and moved to the sofa in the den. Maybe tomorrow I will finish. We have a new girl, Jessica, helping with Skylar. She started today and I will start training her tomorrow. At this time he is only comfortable with her doing some housekeeping duties (sweeping his room, changing his bed, dusting) and spending the remainder of the time getting to know each other and watching movies. She will be there each day from 10:30 to 1:30. I will go over at 8:00 each morning and do everything required to get him up and leave sometime after she gets there. I hope everything works out and he is soon as comfortable with Jessica as he was Cindy, the girl who quit last week. I thought I would share some photos of the fall cleaning and decorating that I managed to complete last week.

The den was the first room that I cleaned. The flowers on the mantle are from my son's wedding.

I added this D to the wall decor beside the steps in the den.

A new fall pillow for the love seat in the sun room.

I also cleaned the guest bedroom and added a new chair that I bought at Kirklands during their grand opening sale in Decatur AL.

My little tasting chef that I bought at Ross last week was added to the kitchen counter during my cleaning.

I also bought this little chef chalkboard for the counter and the message is one I left for my husband last night.

Fall centerpiece on dining room table. New fall candles.

Fall swag on the back door. I bought it on clearance last year at T J Maxx.

I added this vinyl message last week to the dining room wall beside the china cabinet.

Fall decorations on the buffet in the kitchen.

Thanks for stopping by.

I think I might have been in Ross' at the same time you were, but if it wasn't you..the woman would have thought I was nuts. And if it was you I was afraid you'd think I was a stalker or worse! Another blogger and I recognized each other in Huntsville and that turned out okay...but you never know! Anyway...I love everything you bought and the decorating.
