Friday Ramble
It is very cold outside. According to our outside thermometer it was 10 degrees when I got up this morning. I was very thankful that I did not have to go outside today. We slept in this morning after staying up and watching the game and all the post-game commentaries last night . . . ROLL TIDE !!! Due to weather conditions we had a lot of ice on many of the roads that made them dangerous to travel on, and we got to watch the game with our son. Lee and his wife, Morgan, Skylar, and his little sister, Lauren, and Randy, our neighbor. They were all suppose to be at other places but decided to play it safe and stay close to home, which made us happy in more ways then one . . . they were safe and they were with us. We called Jacqueline during the game and she was safe at home watching the game. I wish she and Maya could have been with us but they were safely at home and that is what matters most. I have spent most of the morning doing a little cleaning and now I plan to get in my favorite spot on the sofa with my soft blanket and read "The Long Winter" by Laura Ingalls Wilder. I love these books and enjoy reading them over and over. Thanks for stopping by and I hope everyone has a nice weekend.

LOVE that book! And what a perfect read for right now. :) We have SO much snow and more on the way. I may have to start reading The Long Winter to the kids this evening. :) Thanks for the idea!
Brrrr! I wish it would stop snowing. Winter is not my favorite season, too gray! I haven't left the house since Wednesday, I'm getting cabin fever! Stay warm...and Roll Tide!
Hi Elizabeth,
Negative 2 at our place this morning. We had a white Christmas and the snow just keeps coming.
Very strange in SW Missouri, but I love it. My chickens are another story!
Laura
I agree, when the road conditions get like that, it is best to just stay home. Wow, what a contrast of the Southern temps and ours way up North here. We have been having night temps around 44 which is pretty warm for winter night here. I don't know where our warmer air is coming from, but it sure is nice. Stay warm and toasted dear friend!
I also enjoy those book but think I'll wait to read The Long Winter until it's warmer outside.
Brr... it is cold here in North Alabama. We are suppose to start warming up though.
Yah Hoo!!!! Roll-Tide-Roll!!! We had a scare there at the end didn't we??? Have you got your champion shirts?
Have a great weekend!
Blessings....
A perfect way to spend a cold afternoon...I think I'll do the same. :) Keep warm and stay safe.
