Wednesday Ramble & Skylar Update

Today was another gloomy day with rain almost all day. However, my husband and I got out anyway. We went to Huntsville and had lunch at Surins, hubby's favorite restaurant, which happens to be across the road from where Skylar is in the hospital. After lunch, we went to visit Skylar and I helped with  his bath and got him dressed. We then got him up in his chair and his mom, hubby, and I worked together to wash his hair,  without all the comforts of home. His mom was rinsing his hair using paper cups and got his cup of metamucil by mistake, and poured it on his head. As she was pouring it on his hair she was asking how his hair could get so dirty and then she looked and saw why. . . We did not have a comb, brush, or blow dryer so after towel drying it, I combed and styled his hair with my fingers and afterward it actually looked good. . . I have missed taking care of him. I posted earlier this week about his blood pressure dropping to 42 over 28 on Sunday  and on Monday his body temperature dropped down to 91 degrees and scared all of us. They had to give him shots in his stomach and put heated pads on him to get it up some; 2 hours later it was only still only 93 degrees. He has also been having a lot of pain and throwing up which makes them (the doctors) think the stones in his kidneys are moving. They haven't been able to remove them because of his lungs being weak with the pneumonia but one of his doctors came in today and said they were taking him off the antibiotics and we have been told that his lungs are better. Hopefully, they will be able to remove them soon and he will not have to stay so heavily sedated to endure the pain. His 22nd birthday is this Saturday and we are hoping he will be home in time for us to celebrate it. Most of all, I just want him well again. Please continue to remember him in your prayers and thanks for stopping by.

Thoughts and prayers are with Skylar and all his family. I really admire the way the whole family pulls together to help him. What a blessing and a blessing for those of us who are witness to this ministry. Happy Birthday to Skylar---a little early.

Still praying for your Skylar!
Hey did you know Elizabeth that you can get some light bulbs that you can put in your main light or wherever and it gives sunlight rays. I do not know what they are called right now off hand but I know someone who uses them to help with her SAD She has hers in a lamp beside a chair that she does her knitting and crocheting in. I do not know the cost of them either but thought you might want to look them up. Praying for a ray or two of sunshine for you today. We have snow today ~~that is what happens here when it warms up then it snows. But happy day the moose are hanging around in the day time now too not just through the night at the stackyard where all the big hay bales are. Have a lovely day and hope and pray Skylar can go home soon! Love Roxanne
