Outside my window...
I can see Mr. Johnson, my elderly neighbor (he's almost 80 years old) raking pine straw.
I am thinking...
it is way too cold for Mr. Johnson to be outside raking pine straw.
I am thankful for:
a warm home. . . It has been very cold here in Alabama the past few days . . . highs in the 30's and lows in the teens.
From the kitchen:
I am warming up some chicken stew for my lunch that I made yesterday.
I am wearing...
brown pants, long sleeve pink top and pink socks . . . no shoes, I pulled them off as soon as I walked in the door from being over Skylar's house.
I am creating...
a scrapbook for Skylar.
I am going...
to put more wood in the heater. We have gas/electric heat but when it is cold like it has been the past 2 days, we use wood heat also.
I am reading...
a few of my favorite blogs.
I am hoping...
that Alabama wins the National Championship Thursday night. Roll Tide Roll!!!!
I am hearing...
nothing but the sound of me typing on the keyboard.
Around the house...
things are getting back to normal after the holidays. I have just about got everything put back in place.
One of my favorite things...
to do is read and it has been a while since I have had an opportunity to do so.
A few plans for the rest of the week:
Pay bills, go grocery shopping, and deep clean the computer room.

That costume is hilarious!!
Another interesting post! The costume is really funny because you have to look at it very hard to see what it actually is. I'm with you hoping the Tide rolls over the horns Thursday! Roll Tide!!!

That is priceless! Love that costume! :)
My daughter has a woodburning fireplace and she said she is really going through some logs right now! We have gas logs and I've had them going a good bit, but I've been upstairs a lot and the fireplace is downstairs.
Great costume, it took me a few minutes to figure it out. lol. I always enjoy reading the simple woman's daybook. Thank you for sharing
