"Show & Tell Friday"

Show and Tell
Happy New Year everyone. Kelli at http://kellishouse.blogspot.com/ is hosting "Show & Tell Friday." I would like to join by showing some of my favorite decorative plates and bowls that I have bought at different antique stores in our area. Please stop by Kelli's to see what others are also showing.
This bowl is 7" round and I have it setting on the oak buffet in our kitchen.

This is a small bowl. It is only about an inch deep and measures 6 1/2" by 4 1/4".

This bowl is 7" round and I also have it on the oak buffet in our kitchen.

This is a large bowl. It measures 10 1/2" around. I have it setting on the dresser in our guest bedroom.

This plate is 8" round and I have it in the curio cabinet in my office.

This is a small bowl. It is 5 1/2" round. I also have it setting on the dresser in our guest bedroom. It is very thin and delicate feeling.

I did not buy this cup and saucer together. I bought the saucer at an antique store over a year before I found the cup at another antique store.

I have this small plate on the table in our sunroom. It measures close to 6" round.

This bowl measures 4" x 7 1/2". I also have it in the curio in my office.

Thank you for stopping by.

They are all so pretty, I don't think I could begin to pick a favorite. Some of them are similar to ones I've inherited. Love the story of the cup and saucer that you found separately.

Really enjoyed your Show n Tell!

Hi Elizabeth - I think your chinaware is just beautiful. So delicate, and even though it is dainty and pretty it all still looks very simple and classic! You have great taste!

Happy New Year!

Very pretty! What a wonderful collection. How great that you were able to find the cup and saucer and make the "set".
P.S. your family is beautiful and your daughter really looks a lot like you!

You have some really beautiful pieces here. I have a bowl almost identical to the one in your second photo. It came from my grandmother and is about 70-75 years old. I am guessing, based on who I know had it and how old they were. Thanks for a beautiful post!

You are always welcome in The Shadow of the Cross. Feel free to come visit anytime.
