What a busy week. Besides doing spring cleaning and not feeling well due to allergies, I have been trying to get our taxes together. My husband owns a small business building custom built homes. Sometimes when work is slow, which it has been for the past few months, he will also build garages and do additions. We pay estimated taxes every three months and then pay what is owed at tax time. We have a lot of receipts to keep up with and go through before filing. I always go through and make a spread sheet of all our expenses and deductions so it is easier on our accountant and we can get them back faster. We are not in any hurry but it makes us feel better to know that everything is prepared and all we have to do is write a check and put them in the mail. I did not get to finish deep cleaning my kitchen today. When I got home from Skylar's, my husband suggested we drain our goldfish pond and clean it. I was hoping for a nap but I reluctantly agreed to do it. I caught the fish with a net while he worked on draining the pond. It is a nasty job and I was very happy when my cousin and his wife stopped by to visit. He helped my husband finish cleaning the pond while I visited with his wife. Thank you, David and Donna. Afterwards, we cleaned ourselves up, went to Huntsville and met our daughter for dinner. Later, we stopped by Lowes. At Lowes, I bought this rug for my laundry room, which I hope to start cleaning next week. It measures 19 in. x 44in. and is the perfect size to go in front of my washer and dryer.
I was happy to find it. Now if I can just get my kitchen finished so I can move on to the laundry room. I am looking forward to the weekend and getting some rest. Thank you for stopping by and I hope you have a wonderful weekend.
