Spring Cleaning Challenge Prizes
I have been participating in a Spring Cleaning Challenge hosted by Chrissy at Meaningful Days . Recently, I won a prize for participating and yesterday it came in the mail. Thank you Chrissy I love everything; prayer journal, pens, writing tablet, bath & shower gel, and a hanging Easter arrangement in a heart shaped container. I should be the one giving her a gift for motivating me to get all of my spring cleaning done before May. I am scheduled to have surgery the first week of May so I am very thankful to her for getting me started earlier than I know I would have. After the surgery, I will have to take it easy for a few weeks and it will be easier to relax with a clean house. I finished my kitchen yesterday. Today I have been cleaning in the dining room. It needs very little cleaning. First, I cleaned around the ceiling for cobwebs. Next, I cleaned the chandelier, put the curtains in the dryer for a few minutes, cleaned the windows, vacuumed the window shade, hung the curtains back up, swept the floor, vacuumed the rug, polished the furniture, cleaned light switch, and mopped the floor and I was done. Easy, compared to cleaning the kitchen. I honestly cannot remember the last time we ate at our dining table. I know it has been over two years. My husband and I usually eat at the island in the kitchen or rather I do. He has most of his meals sitting in his recliner in front of the television. We have our family get togethers at his shop so no one dines at our table anymore. I keep thinking I will surprise him one evening and have a nice table setting; complete with candles burning and all; actually I need to stop thinking about it and do it. However, he really does like his recliner. He goes straight to it when he comes in the house and stays there while I cook dinner. When dinner is done, I will fix his plate and carry it and his glass of iced tea to him. He is a little spoilt but he deserves to be. Thanks for stopping by and I hope you have a wonderful evening.

I am so glad you liked it.
Hi Elizabeth,
what wonderful gifts you received!
It's true about having your home tidied up before a hospital stay. When I had my corneal transplant two years ago, I spent two weeks cleaning, laundering and getting things ready for when I came home to recouperte. I would have everything ready and at hand.
We just recently started eating at our table. I had it covered with my thrift store finds and finally I decided that enough is enough...LOL!
I have been enjoying reading your blog and I look forward to more!
Deanna :D
