Cleaning House-

During week one of the spring cleaning challenge at Meaningful Days I cleaned my den/family room. I thought I would show the results of my cleaning. I still haven't made new curtains yet but I did get the fabric last Friday. I hope to get them made soon. Did you notice the white speakers in the top two photos? My husband and I had a major disagreement, fourteen years ago, over those being placed there for surround sound and I lost, as usual. I am thankful that they are only in two of the corners. They are hard to clean especially after using the gas logs in the fireplace all winter. They turn yellow and I have to use a solution of bleach and water to clean them. He also wanted to put surround sound in our master bedroom and I did not. I lost again but you will not find any speakers visible in our bedroom. We compromised: he got surround sound but hid the speakers inside the entertainment center and our night stands. Since cleaning the den I have cleaned our master bedroom, closet and bath. This week I am cleaning my kitchen. Today I haven't felt very good and did not get anything done. I woke up with a bad headache this morning and got up around 6 a.m. and took some Aleve and laid back down until time for me to go to my nephew's house and get him up and ready for the day. Afterwards, I came back home and took more Aleve and laid down again. I did manage to get up later in the evening and fix supper for my husband and check my blog and a few other ones that I like to read. Hopefully, I will find time this week to visit more of my favorite ones. But first I have to get my work finished. Thank you for stopping by and I hope you have a wonderful day.

Wow, you did a lot of work and it looks great! I probably have cob webs in the deer antlers! Need to get to work this weekend.

You are very busy with your spring cleaning. I think your speakers are great compared to mine. I have huge pillar type speakers that take up my tiny living room. I lost that one too like you. I don't ever know what to do with them. They are just so big and I would not have noticed yours had you not told me about them. Spring cleaning does give you a good feeling inside. I have been bitten by the decluttering bug and love doing that. We are taking a good number of things to the thrift shop. They employ people with problems and the money from their sales pay for that program. I feel good about donating things as there are many less fortunate than us that can use the items we no longer use.

Hugs ~

At the beginning of your blog, I thought, "Wow, getting started on spring cleaning sounds like a great idea!" Then I read your to-do-list...I think I'll let my springs cleaning go for a few months a least...Maybe fall. lol
