Today I am celebrating my blog's one year anniversary. Over this past year I have found many great blogs I enjoy visiting but lately it seems that a lot of the bloggers that I am following have either decided to take a break or they are quitting. It is time consuming keeping a blog, especially if you try to post everyday. It is also very discouraging when you spend a lot of time doing a post and have no idea if anyone is reading them because they are not commenting. I must admit in the beginning I almost quit several times but instead I downloaded the little thingy (Live Traffic Feed) that tells you when and from where someone visits your blog and that helped . . .at least I knew I was getting a few visitors. While I do not have many followers, I do have a few loyal readers and commenters and I am truly grateful to those who take the time to read my posts and leave thoughtful comments. . . . that is not to say that I would not mind having more but I am happy with everything. My children read my blog, especially my daughter, Jacqueline, and they have never left me a comment, instead they will call me. Most of the pictures of Mya that I post are for Jacqueline to copy and have. Many times when I am puppy sitting while Jacqueline is out of town I will post pictures so she can see Mya while she is away. I also like to use my blog as a journal although I try to be careful and not write about anything that will intrude upon the privacy of my family members. While I do occasionally mention them in my post I am mindful of what I say. I try and keep my post centered around me and my hobbies and interests.....my home, flower garden, vegetable garden, poetry, sewing, reading, decorating, ....etc. and hopefully I will not offend anyone. Throughout this year I have enjoyed participating in some of the weekly events such as Show & Tell Friday, Happy Homemaker Monday, Bloomin' Tuesday, Outdoor Wednesday, and Show Us Where You Live Friday. It is through these events that I have been able to introduce my blog and get more visitors. I wish I could participate more but I have been putting most of my time into my family and home and anyone else that needs my help. Blogging is just one of the many things that I enjoy doing in my spare time. Unfortunately, I haven't had much spare time lately. It will be interesting to see where the next year of blogging brings me and I look forward to it.
Thank you for stopping by and I hope you have a wonderful weekend.

Hi Elizabeth,
I love your blog though I am guilty of not commenting very often. Unfortunately, I often only have a few minutes here or there that I can take to check out blogs.
Happy one year anniversary!

Terri
Hi Elizabeth ... I'm your "visitor" from Canon City, CO. I read your blog every day as part of my morning ritual ... I've wandered around your family "estate" ... such a beautiful home you have. I've checked out the murals you painted in your bathroom ... you are so very talented. I checked out your son's wedding and what you are having for supper! LOL I really enjoy your blog. I have a blog, too ... but I rarely update it. Anyway, keep up the good work ... God has certainly blessed you with a beautiful family, home and talent! Have a great weekend.
Hugs ... Marcia
