The weather in my neck of the woods:
Another beautiful and somewhat cool morning, especially if you are watering flowers. The high for today will be in the mid 80s under mostly sunny skies.
One of my simple pleasures:
Sitting out by my goldfish pond and taking in all the wonders of God's creation.
On my bedside table:
A box of Puffs tissues. I have came down with a cold in the past few days.
On my TV:
Has not been turned on.
On the menu for tonight:
Salad, spaghetti and meatballs, garlic and cheese biscuits.
On my To Do List:
Make the bed and pick up in bedroom
Go over and help Skylar (4 hours)
Do a few loads of laundry.
Wash dishes, wipe down cabinets, disinfect door knobs, sweep and mop kitchen floor
Clean the main bathroom
Do some of the ironing.
Cook supper and wash dishes.
New Recipe I tried last week:
I actually try this recipe everyday.
HAPPY HOME RECIPE
4 cups of love
2 cups loyalty
3 cups forgiveness
1 cup friendship
5 spoons hope
2 spoons tenderness
1 barrel laughter
Take love and loyalty, mix thoroughly with faith. Blend it with tenderness, kindness and understanding. Add friendship and hope, sprinkle abundantly with laughter. Bake it with sunshine. And serve daily with generous helpings.
In the craft basket:
I have bought supplies for a new flower arrangement that I am making for my kitchen.
Looking forward to:
Finishing all the landscaping around here and getting caught up on all my indoor chores.
Homemaking Tip for this week:
Be creative in how you use your leftovers so that your family doesn't feel like they are eating the same thing two nights in a row. For example, take leftover chili and place it on corn tortilla chips and top with lettuce, shredded cheese, tomatoes, etc. Now you've got taco salad.
Favorite Blog Post of the week (mine or other):
Recently while reading some of my favorite blogs, I read an interesting post at Simply Authentic titled "The Kindness of Strangers." In the post the author discusses the kindness of strangers. She says that "its been one thing that I've noticed more about the south---just how much more people seem to go out of their way at times down here. " Since I am from the south it made me proud to hear such nice things said about us.
Favorite photo from last week:
My husband built this purple Martin birdhouse and put it up a few weeks ago. I love it.
Lesson learned the past few days:
I have learned that everyone loves knowing that they are loved. Tell people you love them, every day of your life. Love is contagious. When you give love, you get love back in return.
On my Prayer List:
My husband and children
Skylar and other family members
Devotionals, Scripture Reading, Key Verses:
(Joshua 1:9) Be strong and of a good courage; be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed, for the LORD thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest.
Thank you Sandra at Diary of a Stay at Home Mom for hosting this event.

Cute "recipe."
Have a great week!
what colors of flowers are you using? I would love to see it
I am using mostly fruit, ivy, and a few filler stick pieces in the new floral arrangement for my kitchen. I will post a photo of it when I finish it this week.
Elizabeth
I love your recipe! I'll be sure to try it.
I love that recipe :)
I hope you are feeling better. I really like that purple martin house! I wish my hubby would make one of those for me.
