Family Get Together

We had my husband's side of the family over last night and had a great time. Maya had fun playing with the kids. She was give out after everyone left. The photo above is rather dark but it is the only one I have of my husband, his sister, brother-in-law, dad, etc. We were so busy visiting with each other that I forgot to take many pictures.

I was trying to get a picture of Maya and Alana jumped up on the sofa beside Jacqueline and Maya and said "cheeeeeese. " It was so sweet that I had to make a few more photos and she said cheese each time.


I love the poem below and have wanted to do the very thing mentoned in the poem......signing the family tablecloth. We have lost many over the past few years and now I wish we had started it the first year we were married.



The Family Tablecloth

Come in, come in out of the cold,
We greet thee, Christmas Day.
So glad you came our way to eat,
To visit, and to play.

Now one strange thing we ask of all
Is signing of your name
Upon our family tablecloth,
And we'll embroider same.

Your name will mingle with the rest
Of friends and family past
Who've shared our table, been our joy,
No matter first or last.

Let's bow our heads and give our thanks
Today and every day
For blessings, friends, and family --
Our tablecloth display.
