Christmas Eve, we had dinner with my side of the family and this time I did make lots of pictures but my camera is still down at my husband's shop where it has been since the get together. I hope to post some of the pictures tomorrow if I can remember to get my camera. We had a good time. Skylar wanted to be posed with his legs crossed and his hand on his knee and Lee, my son, did it. It was hard to see him that way knowing how much he wishes he could move his arms and legs but everyone went along with it. I laughed with him and told him to make sure none of the photos were put on YouTube because people will see him posed and think he can move now. You would not believe the people who come up to us and ask about Skylar and tell us they heard he was able to move different parts of his body . . . all because of him being posed for pictures. He thinks it is funny. While I am speaking of Skylar, please remember him in your prayers, he has not felt well in the past few days and is having difficulty breathing and getting his secretions up. Remember he was on a ventilator after his accident. He was able to wean off it but his lungs are weak. He cannot cough or blow his nose and has to be assisted to cough and get secretions up. We have been told that a mucus plug in his lungs can kill him and that is only one of the many things we have to worry about during the winter. I am afraid that he has pneumonia and he is refusing to go to the doctor because he is afraid they will want to put him in the hospital. I pray he is feeling better very soon. Yesterday, Christmas Day, my husband and I did not get up until after 9:00. Once up, I fried some bacon and fixed pancakes for breakfast. All day we lay around watching Christmas shows. Last night, we, along with our daughter, Jacqueline, Skylar, his girlfriend, Chelsea, Pam, his mom, who is my sister, and his little sister, Lauren, and friends Michael and Beth all met at Surins for dinner. It is a Thai restaurant. Afterward, we went to Walgreens . . . it was the only thing open. I bought a few things and we left and came home. Hubby went to bed and I changed the backgound and header on my blog. Today, we slept late once again but I didn't cook breakfast. Hubby went to meet up with some friends and I went to Target and Ross in Decatur to pick up some storage bins and containers. I came back home and started taking down Christmas decorations. About half way through, some of our friends came by and stayed close to an hour and that was it. I never did anything else. My husband and I started watching a show and fell asleep . . . both of us. The ringing of the phone woke us up. He got up, took a shower and went to bed. I decided to write a post . . . this post. I can't wait until eveything is back to normal around here. I have been sick and exhausted and . . . I've gained 4 pounds. Monday I will start walking . . . No tomorrow I will. . . I'm not waiting on New Years Day. No way. Also, tomorrow, I will be going to the grocery store and stocking up on healthy foods. . .I must do better. . .I must do better. I have so much too to do and it's not getting done . . . I must do better. Please remember Skylar in your prayers. Thanks for stopping by.
