Bless My Computer

Lord Please Bless My Computer

Dear Lord,

Every night as I'm lying here in bed

This tiny little prayer

keeps running through my head

God bless my mom and dad

and bless my children too

and take good care of my spouse

in all that he may do

God, there's just one more thing

I wish that you would do

I hope you don't mind me asking

But please bless my computer too?

Now I know that it's not normal

to bless a small machine

but Lord please listen just a second

and I'll try my best to explain...

You see, that little metal box

holds more than odds and ends

Inside those small components

are a hundred loving friends.

Some it's true I've never seen

and most I've never met...

never shaken hands or

ever hugged, and yet...

I know for sure they like me

by the kindness that they give,

and this little scrap of metal

is how I travel to where they live.

By faith is how I know them,

Much the same as You.

I share in what life brings them

From that, our friendship grew

Please take an extra minute

from your duties up above...

to bless this little hunk of metal

that's filled with so much love.

I LOVE this poem--it's exactly how I feel too! Through my computer I've been able to meet new friends, join them in prayer, even find lost relatives and much, much more :)
You have a beautiful website here -I especially like the old Valentines. They're amazing!!
Blessings, A

Though I live in the NW, I have a very soft spot in my heart for the south--it's very much part of my heritage!
