True Online Friends
The true friends who we meet online
are a very special kind.
They pierce your shields and see within
the corners of your mind.
They're always there when you're in need
with their power to discern.
They feel your pain......they offer hope
and genuine concern.
We bare our souls, expose our hearts
and show our inner fears.
And then before you know it
the keyboard's stained with tears.
If we could see them through that screen
then no one could deny
That to be a TRUE online friend
they too must surely cry.
Thanks for being my on-line friend!

I love poems and have a large collection of them and I like to include them on my blog occasionally when I find one that goes along with my post. I found this one today and I was reminded of the number of sympathy and condolence comments that were left recently on the blog of a family whose little girl had just passed away and how I had shed tears when I read their blog that began with the birth of their child and ended that day with her death. I also thought about some of my posts where others have left me comments that showed concern, offered suggestions, encouragement or just kind words. I thought about a few blogs that I have followed for 2 years or more and how I very seldom left them a comment. After starting my own blog and knowing now how much time is involved in doing a post I feel bad for not leaving a comment. Now I always make sure that I leave one whenever I visit and I try to visit everyone who leaves me one. I am very thankful for these bloggers because through them and their posts I have learned a lot and been inspired to do better. Thank you.

Nice post, Elizabeth. You have lots of nice posts. I've read through some of your more recent blogs including the one with the bed your hubby made - which btw is gorgeous - and the one about Skylar and his accident. He is a handsome young man. I admire you very much for pitching in to help him as you have daily. That is very special and I really think you are a very special person! Till later - Sharon
